I have been collecting the 50 State Quarters. The photos of my collections can be found in my Flickr album. The attachments are some of them. I used banks, vending machines to get coins -- instead of buying a complete souvenir set. This should be of more fun. Now I'm still in short of:
Please contact me if you'd like to change coins with me! Appendix: There're total 112 different coins: (50 + 1 + 5) x 2 = 112 50: Fifty States 1: District of Columbia 5: Five Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands) x 2: Half are from Philadelphia Mint, the other half are from Denver Mint. (Obverse, "P" or "D" under "IN GOD WE TRUST") Theoretically, the expectation of the coins I should change is nearly 600, see Coupon collector's problem. But more than half of the coins I got were of the former series (with an Eagle on the reverse side). |
